TIL an 18 inch service loop actually pays off when the wall is old plaster and lath
I used to trim my coax tight at every outlet out of habit until a job in Akron last Tuesday where the lath crumbled and I had to re-terminate twice, and that extra 18 inches I left at the box gave me room to pull a fresh end without running new line. Now I leave a loop at every drop no matter how clean the wall looks, anyone else get burned by tight trimming on old houses?
