Skeptical about the $40 drawer slide jig, now I use it on every job

Back in March I picked up a cheap drawer slide jig from a guy at the Charlotte woodworking meetup. He swore it would cut my install time in half. I figured it was just another gimmick, especially since I usually do the measuring twice, drill once thing. First job with it was 12 drawers in a kitchen remodel. I set it up in about 10 minutes and drilled all the holes without pulling out my tape measure once. The slides lined up perfect, no shimming needed. That never happens for me. Now I keep it in the top drawer of my toolbox and use it for any face frame cabinet. Has anyone else had good luck with those universal jigs, or do you still mark each hole by hand? I'm curious if I got lucky with this one brand or if they're all decent now.
