Bought a $90 dovetail marker and it actually paid off in half a day

I was skeptical about dropping that much on a piece of brass, but my old combo square setup was giving me uneven tails every other joint. Used it on a walnut credenza job on Tuesday, and the fit was spot on from the first cut, no shimming or recutting. The angled fence just locks in place way better than my previous method of eyeballing with a sharpie. Has anyone else tried one of these dedicated markers, or are you still doing the marking gauge trick?
