Took me 4 months to realize my desk bowl was cooking itself under the grow light

Did you ever stop to think that maybe the bowl was fine and you just moved it for no reason? A grow light throws a small amount of heat at best, and unless that bowl was pressed right up against the bulb for hours, nothing was actually "cooking." People love to blame a setup for a problem that was never there in the first place. If the plant under that light grew fine, then the bowl sitting nearby was also fine, and you wasted four months worrying about nothing.
