Overheard a guy at the coffee shop say he quit his bullet journal because it felt like a second job.
He was telling his friend he spent over an hour every Sunday just setting up his weekly spread. Said he had a whole color code, trackers for five different habits, and a detailed mood log. It made me check my own setup. I realized I was spending maybe 45 minutes every Monday drawing borders. Now I just use a ruler and a black pen. My weekly log takes five minutes. Has anyone else scaled back from a super detailed system to something more basic? What did you keep and what did you drop?

My old system had twelve trackers. Now it's just a to-do list and a grocery section. The fancy stuff was just stress in a notebook.

I used to have a mood tracker, water log, and a separate page for daily wins. It felt like homework. I mean, I was spending more time coloring in little circles than actually getting things done. Now my notebook just has my three big tasks for the day and what I need from the store. It's so much less noise to deal with.

Honestly, twelve trackers? Jason, how did you even keep up with that. I get stressed just thinking about filling out that many boxes every day. Tbh, it sounds like a part time job you didn't get paid for. Good on both of you for cutting out the noise and just writing down what actually matters.
