I just flipped back through my first bullet journal and counted 47 pages of daily logs

I started the journal in January to track my work tasks, but looking back, I see all the little notes about my son's school projects and weekend plans mixed in. It surprised me because I thought I was just making lists, but it's become a full record of my year so far. I never expected to fill so many pages with the small stuff. Has anyone else been surprised by what their journal actually holds after a few months?

That's the best part about keeping a journal, the stuff you didn't plan to write down. Do you think you'll look back at those pages differently now?

You're right about the unplanned stuff being the best part. I read a blog post once that called this "found memory," where the small notes you didn't mean to keep become the real story. Seeing your son's projects mixed with work tasks probably shows your real priorities better than any planned log ever could.
