Found out my habit tracker was lying to me for 8 months
I was going through my old bullet journal last night and noticed I had colored in "exercised" for a whole week in March. Thing is, I had the flu that week and definitely didn't go anywhere near a gym. Made me wonder how many other days I'm just filling in out of habit instead of what actually happened. Anyone ever catch themselves doing the same thing with their trackers?

Doesn't it mess with your head when you realize you've been faking data to yourself? I caught myself checking boxes on days I was barely awake and it made me question everything. Your system is only as good as your honesty and that's a hard truth to swallow.

I've done this more times than I'd like to admit. The trick that actually worked for me was switching to a weekly review instead of daily check-ins. Every Sunday I go back through the week and mark what actually happened, not what I wished happened. Also started leaving a blank space if I wasn't 100% sure I did it. Sounds small but it totally changed how honest my tracker is now.
