Bought a $5 meal prep container set on clearance and it outlasted my fancy glass ones

I was convinced cheap plastic would warp or crack in a week, but those snap-lid containers from Target are still going strong after 8 months. No leaks, no weird smells. Has anyone else had a random clearance item become a daily staple?

Man, I feel that. I grabbed a similar cheap set on a whim and now I'm lowkey mad at myself for spending so much on the fancy ones.

It's funny how that works, isn't it? You buy a cheap version of something and it ends up being just as good or better. I've noticed this pattern with a lot of things, not just tools. Kitchen stuff, clothes, even furniture sometimes. It's like we've been trained to think expensive equals better, but that's not always true. Sometimes the simple, no-frills version does the job just fine, and you feel like a fool for ever paying more.
