Just realized hostel breakfast buffets are a way better deal than I thought
I stayed at a hostel in Lisbon last month for 22 euros a night and the free breakfast had eggs, fruit, and fresh bread every morning. I used to skip hostel breakfasts because I figured it was just stale cereal, so I was buying a 9 euro cafe meal down the street instead. After 4 days I did the math and realized I could have saved almost 40 euros just by eating at the hostel. Now I want to know if this works everywhere or if Lisbon is just unusually good for it, has anyone else found hostels with real breakfasts?
