Comparison between free drawing apps finally made me switch

I spent 6 months using Krita on my laptop for digital art because everyone said it was the best free option, but my phone runs Ibis Paint X and the layers system just clicked way faster for me. Drawing with my fingers actually gave me more control than my old $15 stylus on the laptop. Anyone else find a cheap tool that worked way better than a fancier option?

Just keep in mind that Ibis Paint X isn't totally free on Android. The free version has ads and some brushes are locked behind a subscription or one-time payment. Krita is completely free with no limitations, so it's more of a trade off than a straight upgrade. I used Ibis for a year before switching to Clip Studio, but the ad popups got really annoying after a while.

wait, is that true about Ibis not being totally free? I always figured it was completely free like Krita but now I gotta look into that again
