Tried to fix my own dryer and it took way longer than I expected
My dryer stopped heating last Tuesday so I thought I'd save some money and fix it myself. Watched a few YouTube videos, ordered a $35 thermal fuse from Amazon, and spent 3 hours taking the thing apart just to realize it was actually a bad heating element. Had to wait another 2 days for the right part to arrive and now I'm wondering if I should have just called an appliance repair place from the start. Has anyone else in Bothell had good luck with a local repair shop for this kind of thing?

Nah, you learned something valuable doing it yourself though...

Heard from a neighbor that Appliance Pros in Kenmore did a good job on their washer a few months back, they said the guy was actually honest about what needed fixing and didn't try to upsell them on anything. My buddy had a similar dryer issue and ended up spending almost a whole weekend messing with it before giving up and calling someone anyway. Sometimes it's just not worth the headache, especially when you gotta wait for parts anyway and the whole time your laundry is piling up. YouTube makes everything look way easier than it actually is, that's for sure.
