Visiting a stunning tulip field has me doubting the monoculture hate

Everyone says monocultures are bad for gardens, but this field was full and healthy with no pests. I think maybe the rules are different for small scale planting.

Saw a massive daffodil field that was perfectly healthy too. I mean, maybe the risks are overblown for some seasonal flowers.
