The soil tester told me I was watering my monstera wrong
Bought one of those $12 moisture meters after my leaves kept yellowing. My plant buddy watched me use it and laughed, said I was reading the dial like a car gauge. Turns out I was watering on a schedule instead of checking the actual dry depth, so the roots sat wet for weeks. Swapped to watering only when the top 1.5 inches read dry per the meter, and it's perked up in about 10 days. Anyone else get humbled by a simple tool showing them their routine was the problem?

Wait, so the $12 gadget was smarter than my whole watering routine? Yeah, I felt that one too when my moisture meter called me out on treating my fern like a goldfish. Guess the plant was just waiting for me to stop guessing and start paying attention to what the dirt actually says.
