Watched a guy at the Ohio Book Fair reback a spine with wheat paste and now my glue pot is gathering dust
I was at the Columbus show back in March and this older binder did a full reback in about 20 minutes using nothing but wheat paste and a strip of Japanese tissue. I went home and tried it on a water damaged 1948 atlas I had been putting off, and the hinges came out flatter than anything I ever got with PVA. Anyone else made the switch for older books, or do you still keep the glue for the ones that need to hold up to real use?
