My book club's potluck turned into a fight over who picks next month's read
We were at Sarah's place last Tuesday. Everything was fine until Karen brought up her pick for next month. Someone said it was too long. Someone else said it was boring. Then plates got pushed around. I just sat there eating my bean dip. We didn't even finish the discussion. Now we have a vote scheduled for Saturday. Has anyone else had a pick cause a full blown argument like that?

Respectfully, I see it different. A little heated debate shows people actually care about the book enough to fight for their pick. Your vote on Saturday will settle it without everyone storming out.
