Finally got that old boiler in the Parma plant to stop leaking after three weeks of chasing it.

Turns out the issue was a hairline crack in the main feed line coupling we couldn't see until we did a full hydrostatic test. Anyone else had a sneaky leak that just wouldn't show itself?

You needed a full hydrostatic test just to spot that? That's wild. I've had pinhole leaks hide in plain sight before, but a crack that only shows up under that much pressure is next level. Makes you wonder how long it was weeping before it got bad enough to notice. That old Parma equipment really keeps its secrets.

A full hydro test seems like overkill for a weep. Could have just been a loose packing nut that got worse with vibration.

Hydrostatic test to find a hairline crack? That leak was playing hard to get.
