My block turned into a board game festival out of nowhere

I came home to find neighbors setting up games on the sidewalk for hours. It was wild to see how many hidden gamers live around here. What's the biggest local gaming thing you've seen?

Imagine that growing into a full street fair. Someone drags out a grill for hot dogs, another neighbor sets up a prize for the best Catan win, and suddenly it's a whole thing every month. It shows how these shared hobbies can totally change a block's vibe. My friend's town did a similar pop-up chess tournament that got so big they closed a park lane. Makes you wonder what other fun is hiding behind closed doors.

But have you considered how much that would bother people who need quiet or just don't like crowds? Turning a chill block into a monthly street fair sounds like a nightmare for folks who work odd hours or just value their peace. The noise, the trash, strangers parking everywhere, it could really make some neighbors miserable.
