Can we discuss how adjusting my gaming chair posture alleviated chronic neck strain?

I always thought my neck pain was just part of the territory after hours of leaning over complex game boards. A physical therapist friend pointed out my slumped shoulders during a session and suggested specific ergonomic adjustments. Now, I consciously sit upright with my feet flat, and the difference in comfort after long games is night and day. That small change has let me focus more on strategy than on discomfort.

You're on the right track, but feet flat can strain your lower back if your chair's too high. Focus on aligning your ears with your shoulders instead, that's what fixed my neck issues.

Wait, feet flat is bad now? That was literally the only part I remembered from my own PT visit.

I see it differently on feet flat. My PT always said keep feet flat. It stops your knees from locking up. That helped my back a lot during desk work. Chair height is part of it, like Sam mentioned. But flat feet are not the problem.
