Took me 3 evenings to realize that "bird" on my porch was a bag of mulch

My porch camera caught this fuzzy shape on the railing Tuesday night and I SWORE it was a sleeping owl. I posted it in a local birding group, got 40 replies arguing between owl species, even drove to Home Depot to buy a night scope. On the third night I walked out barefoot to get a closer look and it was just my neighbor's torn mulch bag that blew over the fence. Has anyone else wasted this much time on a blurry blob that turned out to be something boring?
