TIL my old phone camera was capturing ghost trails in snowy photos
Last January up in Buffalo I took a bunch of shots of the lake effect snow and every single one had these weird blurry streaks, even with the flash on. Turns out it was the shutter lag on a 2012 Motorola, it was smearing the snowflakes into long lines instead of freezing them. Anyone else ever dig out an ancient phone and realize the camera was adding its own fake motion effect?

Nah, that's just snow reflection, not shutter lag.
