Am I the only one who zoomed in on a 3 pixel smudge from a Cleveland porch cam and found a whole raccoon?
I was sure it was a ghost or a drone until my neighbor said they left a trash bag out on Erie St, and now I want to know if anyone else has a trick for telling a masked animal from a shadow at that low a resolution.
Man, I have to say I see it the other way. A raccoon at 3 pixels is just a gray blob, same as a cat, a possum, or a crumpled up bag of chips. The trash bag on Erie St is a good clue but it could also mean rats showed up, and those look real different from a raccoon when they move. My rule is simple: if it does not move in about ten seconds of video, I do not trust the ID at all. Motion is the only thing that really tells you what you are looking at that far away. So what did the smudge actually do on the porch cam?
