Found a $3 roll of cork sheets that fixed my empty stairwell

Picked up a roll of self-adhesive cork at the dollar store and stuck it in cheap thrift store frames for a textured mini gallery, cost me like $12 total and 20 minutes of cutting. Anyone else tried cork or felt as a way to break up a tall blank stretch without buying real art?

Cork is a smart move for a dead wall, I respect the hustle. Tall blank stretches are a pain in the ass and people act like you need to drop real money on canvas to fix them. Using cheap frames and texture to fake a gallery is exactly the kind of thrifty nonsense I love. I bet it adds some warmth and kills that echoey empty sound too. Good on you for making the space feel intentional without breaking the bank.
