Hot take: stop telling new guys to buy a 100 lb anvil first
Everyone in my local group keeps pushing big anvils on beginners and it drives me nuts. I started on a 55 lb chunk of rail track I got for $40 at a swap meet in Ohio and learned more about control from that thing than I ever would have from a heavy Fisher. That light anvil moving around under my hammer taught me to read my strikes, so who else here started small and stayed small?
