Totally agree, and this shows up everywhere once you start looking. Work meetings lose all focus when too many people jump in. Same with social stuff, where big gatherings often break into smaller cliques. It's like there's a magic number where things stop working well. Our brains just handle small groups better for actual talk and getting things done.
