Bleeding brakes with a syringe finally clicked for me
I used to do the old pump and dump method with the lever, messy and air bubbles everywhere. Last weekend on a 2015 Shimano setup I swapped to a proper syringe kit from the bench, pushing fluid from the caliper up instead of down. Took maybe 20 minutes total versus fighting it for an hour before, and the lever feel came out rock solid. Anyone else switch their bleed order and notice a big difference?

Did you try bleeding from the top down, like the old school way, with a clear hose on the bleed nipple? I've had the opposite luck with syringes, honestly. Pushing from the caliper always seemed to push air up into the master cylinder for me, and then I'd chase tiny bubbles for ages. The pump and dump method is messy, sure, but at least I know when the fluid coming out is clean and bubble free. Maybe your 2015 calipers are just easier to get a good seal on than the ones I've worked on, so take this with a grain of salt.
