TIL my grandpa's old trick of bending spoons behind his back for 40 years was actually a real bench test
I always figured his stories about settling a bend by feel in the 1980s were just bar talk, but last month in Tulsa I watched a guy hit the exact same curve on a cheap diner spoon by doing nothing but the behind-the-back wrist roll grandpa described, and now I want to know if anyone else here learned it that way or if we all just picked it up from the same uncle.
