Overheard a stylist roasting my blade angle, now I can't unhear it

Last Tuesday a walk-in was getting a skin fade next to my chair and told her stylist my clipper work looked 'too uniform', whatever that means. Turns out my zero-gap on the Oster 76s was leaving a hard line at the jaw because I wasn't tapering my wrist before the C-cup. Has anyone else had a random client comment mess with their whole technique, or do I just need to lock my head in a vice?

The 76s is a solid clipper, but even a perfect zero gap can't fix a wrist that's locked up. Sounds like the stylist was seeing your technique, not the tool, and that's actually a compliment in disguise. Try doing a few slow passes with just your wrist rotating before you touch the C-cup, and you'll feel the difference in like two cuts.
