Just walked out of Big City Barbershop in Miami - watch your back
I stopped into Big City Barbershop on 5th Street yesterday for a quick trim and noticed the owner was letting an apprentice run the clippers without any supervision. The kid was going too fast on a fade and actually nicked a guy behind the ear pretty bad, no apology given. Has anyone else seen shops cutting corners like this lately?

Yeah and I bet that apprentice would've given me a shave even worse than I deserve. I went to a place last month where the barber was clearly on his second shift straight, shaking like he had Parkinson's. He kept talking about his ex-girlfriend while buzzing my neckline. Ended up with a line so crooked my own mother asked if I did it myself. At least when I butcher my own hair at home with a beard trimmer I don't have to tip anyone for the privilege.

Right, because nothing says "trusted professional" like a barber using your head as a practice dummy while his boss hides in the back scrolling his phone. That crooked neckline story made me wince - at least your mom was around to confirm the damage. Sounds like these guys are running a chop shop instead of a barbershop, charging full price for a haircut that looks like it was done in a dark room with a butter knife. Who needs a straight line when you can have an abstract art piece on your head for free, right?
