My bank flagged a $200 payment to my sister last week as suspicious
They froze my account for two days while I proved it was legit, even though I've sent her money every month for years. How do banks decide what's actually suspicious anymore?

Tell them it was for a family thing. Did you write something different in the memo line this time?

My buddy did that once, put "medical supplies" on a check for his cousin's bachelor party. The bank called him asking for a doctor's note, it was a whole mess. He learned to just write "gift" or "loan" now, keeps it simple.
