My balcony tomato plants got hit with a sudden fungus last Thursday

I came home to find every leaf covered in white powder, which my local garden center confirmed was powdery mildew from the recent humidity. Has anyone else in a humid climate dealt with this and found a good organic spray?

Yeah, the "small fixes beat big solutions" thing from richard_shah doesn't always hold up. In my experience, once that mildew gets going, you need something stronger than milk. I had to use a copper fungicide spray to really knock it out for good.

Hate seeing that white powder take over. Olivia's milk trick works because it changes the leaf surface just enough to stop the fungus. It's a perfect example of how small, simple fixes often beat big, complicated solutions. I see this everywhere now, from fixing a squeaky door with cooking oil to restarting a router instead of calling tech support. We're trained to look for the fancy fix when the cheap, easy one is right in front of us.

Milk and water spray saved mine.
