My 6 pepper plants gave me 214 peppers this summer and I only have 2 square feet of balcony
I counted them last week out of pure boredom. 214 peppers off 6 plants on a balcony in Chicago that is barely 2 feet deep. I bought the cheap starter pots at a hardware store back in April and figured half would die. They did not die. They went nuts. I have been giving bags of peppers to neighbors and coworkers for a month now and people are starting to avoid me in the hallway. My freezer is full and I still have 30 or so sitting on the counter turning red. Is there a point where too many plants is a real problem, or do I just need to learn how to make hot sauce?
