I thought those little plastic greenhouse domes were a total gimmick until my tomato seeds sprouted in half the time

So you're a convert now, huh? What finally made you decide to give one a try, just curiosity or did you have seeds that were being stubborn? It's wild how something that seems so simple can actually make that big of a difference. Makes you wonder what other garden "gimmicks" are actually totally worth it.

My stubborn basil seeds last year were the final push. I got a cheap heat mat for under ten bucks and it cut germination time in half. Sometimes the simple stuff really is the answer.

Wait, you thought I was just being stubborn? No way, I had a whole packet of old lettuce seeds that refused to sprout in the dirt. I was ready to toss them. Threw them on a damp paper towel as a last ditch thing and three days later, every single one had a tiny root. It felt like cheating. Now I'm side-eyeing everything in the garden center wondering what else actually works.
