I was a skeptic about using a scale for baking, now I get it

For years I measured flour with cups and got okay but uneven results. Last month I picked up a cheap kitchen scale for $12 and tried my usual chocolate chip cookie recipe by weight. The dough came out way more consistent and the cookies baked evenly for the first time in ages. I even weighed my water for bread and the rise was noticeably better than my old eyeballing method. I know some folks swear cups are fine, but I am convinced now that grams matter. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed a real difference in their bakes?
