I always thought my flat cookies were from over-mixing, but my oven rack was the real problem.

Explain how the rack position messed them up.

Look, the rack was just too far forward. It forced their grip wide, which messed up their whole pull off the floor. Their shoulders got pulled out of position before the bar even left the ground. That's a basic setup error, and it throws everything else off. You can see it plain as day in the video, @gibson.sean. They were fighting a bad position from the very first second.

Been there myself... had the rack pins one hole too high and it messed up my whole clean pull for weeks. Couldn't figure out why my shoulders were rounding until my coach pointed it out. Forced me into a wider grip just like emma522 said, and then the bar path was all wrong. Makes total sense, @gibson.sean, you're starting the lift already out of position so you have no chance.
