Switched from a rotary mower to a reel mower. My lawn actually looks better now.

I used to spend every saturday morning wrestling with my gas rotary mower. It was loud, heavy, and kept scalping the bumpy parts of my yard. Then last April I saw a neighbor using a manual reel mower and thought he was crazy. I bought a cheap Fiskars one for $80 at a hardware store in Portland. After 3 mows I realized the clean cut was way healthier for my grass. The stripes it leaves look way nicer too. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed a difference during dry spells?

That clover struggle is real, man. My Fiskars does okay on it but I have to go over those patches twice to really get a clean look. Glad to hear the Brill is holding up for you, that gives me hope for making my switch permanent.

I got a Brill Razor-Cut for 120 bucks last summer. The cut stays clean even when the grass is dry and crunchy. Your Fiskars doing okay on the clover patches?
