That one perfect week in May when everything just clicked
Last spring we had a week where all 6 hens laid every single day, and two of them even gave us double yolkers three times. The weather was mild, I switched their feed to a higher protein mix from the local co-op, and they finally stopped fighting over the nesting box after I added a second one. It was so smooth I almost forgot the struggles we had back in February when the frostbite hit their combs. Has anyone else had a week like that where you just sit back and watch them do their thing?

Frostbite in May? Combs get frostbit in winter, not spring.
