My flock changed my mind on heating the coop in winter
For years, I stuck with heat lamps to keep my chickens warm. Then I saw them all crammed under the light, and it didn't look right lol. Last winter, I just added more straw and sealed drafts in the coop. My hens actually laid more eggs and stopped getting sick. I found out chickens can handle cold fine if they're dry and sheltered. Now I avoid heat lamps, and it's safer and cheaper. Give it a shot if you're on the fence about it.

The way our brains shut down on complex stuff is a real pattern I see all the time (you know, like hitting a wall). It happens to me with tax forms or any long contract, no joke. We're all swimming in so much information that mental fatigue is just part of life.
