Campfire ash in high places causes more harm than I knew
I read a report on how ash alters water pH and hurts fish. Now I use a stove instead!

Wow, I never really thought about ash doing that much damage. I guess I always figured it was just natural stuff that would break down. Reading how it messes with the water and hurts the fish really got to me. That's why I switched to carrying a small stove too.

Wait, it actually hurts the fish? I mean I knew ash was bad but damn. Makes sense why you switched to a stove.

So we're all just out here accidentally making fish soup with our campfires? Good to know my cozy night was someone else's toxic spill. I guess the fish aren't big fans of our "natural vibe" either. That report is a real eye-opener, makes the switch to a stove feel less like a hassle and more like basic decency. My little burner is way less dramatic anyway.
