Vent: A client in Denver told me my invoice format was 'confusing' and it actually helped

I was cleaning houses for a woman in the Capitol Hill area last month, and she sat me down after I finished. She said, 'Your prices are fine but your breakdown looks like a maze.' I realized she was right - I had been lumping all my charges into one line without showing extras like carpet spot treatment. She spent 10 minutes showing me how she organizes her own billing for her bookkeeping side gig. Has anyone else had a customer give you feedback that actually improved your service?

Honestly, what did she say was the most confusing part? Like the order of the items or just how it was grouped?

Totally the grouping! It made no sense to put those things together. The order was weird too, but the main problem was how they were sorted. It felt like they just threw stuff in random buckets.
