Serious question about review aggregators, why does everyone treat G2 scores like gospel?
I found a client pulling in a 4.8 on G2 last week but their actual service was so bad three customers emailed me directly complaining, so can anyone explain why we still let a handful of handpicked reviewer profiles decide buying decisions?

Heard from a buddy who runs a small IT firm last month - he bought software based on a 4.7 G2 rating and it crashed his whole system on day one. Turns out the company had like 200 reviewers who all got free subscriptions or something stupid like that. G2 doesn't really check if those people actually used the product for more than a week. Honestly the whole system feels rigged for the companies paying for it.

Man, that's rough. My buddy runs a small landscaping company and bought some scheduling software rated 4.8 stars on G2. First week it double-booked three clients and sent them all the wrong address. When he tried to get support, they told him he needed the "enterprise" plan just to talk to a real person. The whole rating system is a joke, it's basically pay-to-play at this point.
