Chat with a logistics manager made me rethink how I review CRM platforms

I was talking to a logistics manager from a mid-size shipping company in Ohio last week. He told me he spent 6 months picking a CRM based on feature lists and online reviews, only to find out the reporting module couldn't handle his fleet data the way he needed. He said 'I read 20 reviews that talked about ease of use, not one mentioned data export limits.' That hit me because I do the same thing when I review B2B services. I look at ratings and buzzwords, but I never ask about edge cases or real world limits. Has anyone else found that most reviews skip the stuff that actually breaks your workflow?

Yep, I've bought plenty of things based on reviews that skipped the one stupid limit that drove me nuts later.

Wait wait wait, 6 months and he missed something that basic? @the_nina I feel like you've been through this too because that "one stupid limit" thing you mentioned is exactly what scares me now. Like how do you miss data export limits in 2024?
