Unpopular opinion: paying $900 for a warranty on my 2016 Silverado was actually the smart move
Back in March my transmission went out on I-35 outside Waco and the shop quoted me $4,200 to rebuild it. My brother had been telling me for two years that the $900 I paid for the extended warranty at the dealer in Fort Worth was a waste of money. The warranty covered all but a $100 deductible, and I had a rental for the eight days they had my truck. Now I'm wondering if I should bump up my coverage before the term runs out, has anyone here actually used the powertrain part of theirs?
