That one freeze plug tool saved my Saturday on an old 350

Had a 1978 Chevy 350 come in with a leaking freeze plug behind the starter, and trying to hammer it in blind from below was a total joke in Austin traffic heat. Picked up a Lisle 13250 pilot tool for like 28 bucks at the local parts place, and with the pilot seated, the whole swap took maybe 20 minutes instead of the usual 2 hour cuss fest. The old brass plug had corroded right around the edge, which caused the leak after the engine got hot during a long drive, not a sudden failure. Anyone else use one of those pilot kits, or do you just weld a puller on these older blocks?

So the special tool does the job, but you still got sweat in your eyes? Worth every penny though.
