Swore by urethane primer until I saw a 5-year old epoxy job last week

Yeah, that whole "swore by urethane" thing really hit home. I had a buddy who used that Rustoleum epoxy kit on his garage floor like 8 years ago. He didn't even prep the concrete right, just cleaned it with some degreaser. That floor still looks better than my 2-year-old urethane job that's peeling near the water heater. Makes you wonder if all the fancy prep work is actually worth it or if brands just want us to buy multiple primers.

right? my first floor i spent like three days with the grinder and acid etch and it still chipped. second floor i just mopped and poured some cheap two part stuff from home depot and it's been bulletproof for five years. clearly my destiny is to be a terrible floor prepper
