Dropped $600 on a spot welder for one quarter panel job, best money or worst money I ever spent?
Bought a used Miller spot welder for $600 when a 2015 Civic quarter panel job came in, and it paid for itself on that one car because the panel fit clean and I didn't burn through anything. My old shop foreman says that's junk money for a tool I use maybe 6 times a year and I should've just borrowed the shop one in Grand Rapids. So what's the call, do you buy a tool when the job pays for it or do you rent and keep the cash?
