Unpopular opinion: phone shots of the moon are ruining backyard astro photos
Two years ago I was hauling a 6 inch dob out to a dark site an hour west of Lubbock just to get 30 usable frames of the Ring Nebula. Now half the posts in here are a blurry white dot someone grabbed with a Galaxy S23 and a $20 phone mount, and people call it imaging. If your setup weighs less than a gallon of gas, is it even astrophotography?
Same thing happened with fitness trackers and step counts, everyone with a wristband thinks they're an athlete now. The tool got cheap so the effort stopped mattering to people.
