My magnetometer found a filled well on the third pass, not the first
Been survey walking a 1700s farm plot outside Danville for a month now. I ran my usual grid with the cesium magnetometer, got a weak anomaly, and figured it was just buried iron trash. Decided to redo the lines at a slower pace and lower sensor height, that's when the reading spiked hard. Dug down 2 feet and hit a stone-lined well that wasn't on any old map. Lesson learned, if a signal is faint but repeats, it's worth a second look instead of writing it off. Anyone else had a feature only show up after changing your survey speed or spacing?
