Had to choose between a 40-foot lift and a 30-foot ladder for a tricky oak in Portland
The client wanted a big limb over their garage gone, but the driveway was too narrow for the big lift. I went with the ladder, which was fine until my saw got pinched and I had to do a weird one-handed dance to free it. Anyone else have a go-to trick for a tight pinch cut when you're up high?

Sounds like my signature move for dropping expensive tools.

Grab a second bar for the saw. I keep a short wrecking bar hooked on my belt for exactly that. Wedge it in the cut behind the blade as you go, just a little bit. It keeps the kerf open so the tree can't sit back down on your saw. Saved me from that one-handed panic more times than I can count.
