I was at the McCarren Park greenmarket like 3 weeks ago and this older dude had a tiny worm bin on his table. I asked how he deals with fruit flies and he just goes, coffee grounds on top every time, half an inch. That's it. I tried it in my 5 gallon bucket under the sink and the flies dropped off big time in like 10 days. The grounds dry out the scraps and kill the smell too. Has anyone else used grounds as a top layer, or am I late to this?
