My neighbor thinks I'm crazy for composting in my closet

But honestly, it doesn't smell if you handle it well. Most people are just too lazy to turn their compost often.

Yikes, gotta side with your neighbor on this one lol. A closet is a tiny closed space with no real airflow, so even if you turn it, mold and dampness can wreck your walls and clothes. Plus all it takes is one missed balance of greens and browns and your whole place smells like a garbage truck. Just because something can work doesn't mean it's a good idea for your apartment.
